The new MatteLast Liquid Lip by Pixi come in a variety of nudes and I couldn’t be happier with the selection. Each nude varies a bit with brown or pink undertones and the consistency is extremely creamy and wearable. The applicator is one of a kind and I may go as far as to say it’s my favorite on a liquid lipstick. I thought about taking a photo but I think I’ll let you experience this one on your own.
When I hear liquid lipstick, I immediately think of a lip product that dries matte and stays in place for hours. Pixi calls this a liquid lip but I found that it never fully dried and wasn’t transfer proof. Since they don’t fully dry like a typical liquid lipstick, at some point in the day I rubbed my lips together and it wasn’t until hours later that I noticed I had lipstick under my lower lip (cute, I know). Because they don’t fully dry, they aren’t overly drying on the lips so it’s definitely a trade-off. Once I knew what to expect, I began grabbing for them on a daily basis.
If you are looking for a product that stays much longer than a lipstick but isn’t drying like a typical liquid lipstick, give these a try. The color selection is beautiful, they wear comfortably for hours and the smell is delightful. I can’t pinpoint it, but they resemble a sweet candy of some sort. I wish I could tell you which is my favorite but I literally switch them up depending on my mood. I will say that I feel super fiery in the shade Au Naturelle which has a hint of orange and is ‘muy caliente’. To take the guesswork out of which lip liner to pair them with, I included my favorites which compliment each shade perfectly.
