Pixi X Dulce Candy Collab – Review & Makeup Look

Pixi teamed up with three beauty influencers for their Pixi Pretties 2018 Collaboration and after reviewing the Chloe Morello collab I was interested in seeing what the others were all about. The second collab I tried was by Dulce Candy, who created an all in one glow palette she calls Cafe con Dulce Sweet Glow and a lip palette called Lip Candy Sugar & Spice.

I created a pink and purple look incorporating both palettes and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with the pigmentation. Sweet Glow is a great all in one palette perfect for travel since it can be used as an eyeshadow, highlighter, blush topper or anywhere else you desire a glow. The lip palette gives you a variety of shades which can be worn separately or combined to create a custom shade, it too belongs in your travel bag.

I used Piruli on my entire lid and then placed Pan Dulce on the center for a bit of pop. I used Estrella over my blush to add a glow to my cheeks and then took Brillante and placed it on my brow bone and cheekbone as a highlighter. I also applied it to my collar bones and shoulders and then pretty much slathered myself in it. As you can see from the first photo, it really does make your skin look glowy and healthy. For lips, I used Flor which is a really pretty barbie pink shade. My second time using this palette I created a bronze look using Tamarindo on the lid and Bon-Bon in the crease which was really pretty!!

I applied the Sweet Glow palette using a brush as well as my fingers and both did a wonderful job at delivering pigmentation exactly where needed. If you’re looking for even more glow, I recommend dipping your brush into the product then misting it with Elf Makeup Mist & Set. Doing this really takes your glow to the next level.

Final Thoughts….

After using the Romantic Radiance Palette by Chloe Morello and the Cafe con Dulce Sweet Glow palette by Dulce Candy, both of which have a similar concept (multi-purpose all in one glow palette), I would definitely pass on the palette by Chloe Morello. Unfortunately, the pigmentation wasn’t anywhere near as good as this palette and well if I’m being honest, there wasn’t much pigmentation at all. The Dulce Candy collab gives you everything you could expect from a glow palette and I definitely see myself reaching for both of her palettes this summer.
