endless silky eye pen
The Endless Silky Eye Pen in black has lived in my professional makeup kit for years and has been used on almost every client. The consistency is incredibly soft which means it glides onto the waterline and when used with a thin angled brush it easily creates a wing liner. Swipe the angled brush against the sides of the pencil to pick up the product, going back for more as needed.
Unlike a Kohl pencil, picking up product is easy because of the soft and creamy texture. The pencil point will end up changing shape so be gentle and try not to press too hard. As you can see from the purple pencil above, the tip changed in shape however sharpening returned it to normal.
Eye Bright Liner
During glam sessions, I’ve had a few clients request a white waterline and with each request, I hesitate a bit because let’s be honest who’s waterline is that bright white? I think it looks artificial and has never been my thing until I used the Eye Bright Liner. It’s more of a flesh tone shade and brightens the eye without looking artificial, perfect for those mornings where you’re feeling a little tired.
black lacquer Lash Primer
Do you remember this L’Oréal double extend lash fortifier and extender in the white and gold tube? A double-ended mascara with one end containing a white lash primer and the other end, black mascara. It was my go-to in the 90’s. I loved the concept of the primer however in hind-site applying white primer onto black lashes is a bit silly. I think it’s still available in stores in updated packaging but skip it and head straight for the Pixi Black laquer lash primer, you’ll thank me later.
There have been many occasions when I haven’t felt like fussing with false lashes and instead opted for this power lash combo of Pixi’s Black Lacquer Lash Primer, Large Lash Mascara, and Lower Lash Mascara. When I first tried the Large Lash Mascara I thought it did a nice job of lengthening my lashes but it wasn’t until I paired it with the lash primer that my lashes were taken to the next level.
Lower Lash Mascara
Have you ever tried applying mascara to your lower lashes and ended up with mascara everywhere under your eyes except your lower lashes? Well, Pixi created a Lower Lash Mascara so you never have to go through that again.
The difficult thing about applying mascara to the lower lashes is that most mascara wands are made for upper lashes and are just too big. The Pixi Lower Lash Mascara is made specifically for the lower lashes which means the wand is extremely thin and small, making the application ridiculously easy. The formula also makes lashes longer and separated which is a winning combo. Since getting my hands on these products, I’ve been asked a handful of times if I’m wearing false lashes which is a sure sign they’re working.
